Operational guide

How to assign referees for a round

Use the Round-day operations board to filter round, date, and venue, review warnings, apply saved crews, and confirm match referee assignments.

Start from the Round-day operations board

Assignment starts in the matches tab, filtered by round, date, and venue.

In the app, the organizer opens referee planning and uses Operations round, Operations date, and Venue to isolate the matches that need assignments in that window.

The Matches, Assigned, Warnings, Blocked, and Unassigned counters show where the round is ready and where a decision is still missing before kickoff.

Review suggestions and saved crews before choosing

The assignment is safer when the suggestion is reviewed.

Quick suggestions show a suggested crew without taking the organizer out of the board. When multiple visible matches share a venue, Fast apply by venue opens Review batch so the organizer can confirm what can move together.

When the match needs finer control, Assign referees lets the organizer apply Saved crews or build an Individual selection by role: main referee, assistants, fourth official, or match delegate.

Validate the Assignment preview

Availability, warnings, and blocking issues need to appear before save.

The Assignment preview classifies the assignment as Ready to save, Needs confirmation, or Blocked. This step prevents saving an inactive referee, duplicate role, or conflict that blocks the match flow.

If there is a warning, the app asks for explicit confirmation. If there is a blocking issue, the organizer needs to change the crew or referee before saving the assignment.

Track confirmation and reminders

Good assignment includes knowing whether the crew answered.

After saving, the match shows Current assignment, Crew confirmation, and the assignment state. Pending items such as Assignment not confirmed appear on the operations board.

When someone still has not confirmed, Send reminder helps close the round without returning to a loose list. The match detail section and official match sheet stay in sync after every saved change.

How to move the guide into the Copa Fut workflow

Reading should end in a clear action before the next round.

This guide answers the first question around how to assign referees, but the real gain shows up when someone owns the routine, chooses the right moment in the round, and checks the right record inside the championship.

In practice, that means opening the right Copa Fut screen: championship setup, match, referee assignment, digital match sheet, check-in, standings publishing, or the athlete's official history.
